Workshops
The Society is approved by the Royal College of Anaesthetists as a provider of Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD). Delegates attending the meeting are eligible for 6 CEPD points, plus 2 if attending a workshop.
Interactive workshops will be held on Thursday morning, led by a number of anaesthetists experienced in the field of intravenous anaesthesia. Workshops are limited to groups of 12-18 delegates, and the workshop registration fees are heavily subsidised due to generous industrial support. Topics will include:
- remifentanil pharmacokinetics
- target controlled infusions
- demonstration of the pharmacokinetics and dynamics of intravenous anaesthesia by computer simulation
- practical aspects of intravenous anaesthesia
- Open TCI, with the Base Primea
The workshops are available to meeting registrants only. Places are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Delegates can book Wednesday night accommodation in the hotel: £75 for B&B.
